-Just had an interesting echo of Peon155's above--certainly makes completing it in a shuttle a bit more problematic. After swinging past, my pod and I bought some quafe and a new shuttle. May start planning to kill everything in the future. They seem to be asking for it.
-On the other hand, shuttle technique has worked multiple times since.

killing all the dampers first (see abow) helped very well!

this dune conal bs is very fast for its ship class!
one of the bs drops "reinforced metal scraps" its not sell-able at the market.
only in contract. never seen this befor. any one knows for what its good for?

MTU in cargo
MWD to the warehouse, drop MTU, loot warehouse and MJD out. Pop everything smaller than a battleship. MJD back to MTU and kill all the BSs (with Salvage Drones out). As the last BS dies you'll have one or two wrecks left to loot/salvage. Scoop the drones and MTU, warp out.
I don't know how fast it is, but it doesn't take long, I'm sure this would be awesome for any marauder.
first spawn damp my sensors to hell had to close into 9km range and kill the Ewar ships. then on wave 2 kept all BS spawns at 30-50 km range and killed them easily.
I recall doing a bunch of these missions just 2 months ago and there were never any rats already spawned in the site on initial warp in. Not sure if this was an "unannounced" change or a "one off" event.
Basically nothing changed blitzing still is possible in a small fast craft.

I ran it in a shuttle. I took a couple of shots as I slowed down to grab the cargo. I made sure I was ready to quickly grab the cargo and warp off, and it worked out.
Used an interceptor with MWD and got hit to 73 % shields before being in warp.
I used that ship because I did the same mission last week in a Crow and almost lost it. I probably would have done better to kill the MWD after 1 cycle as well as I bounced (a little bit) off of the "warehouse" and lost a couple seconds getting back close enough to loot the can.
Next time I'm just going to go in heavy and kill everything.
Confirming that the initial spawn does start to target and shoot at you as soon as you land on the site. Done it twice in a inty and twice in a BS. It is still doable in an inty but you'd better be quick.

Went in a Navy Scorp. Initial spawn waiting for me when I warped in. Started shooting at me immediately.
Popped the Cruiser rat and a spawn of 3 Corelum Guardian Chief Defender cruisers and 3 battleships spawned.
Could have looted the can and warped out but decided to go for the loot/salvage instead.
Warehouse spawn (after looting can) was 1 frigate, 2 cruisers (sensor dampening), 1 battlecruiser and 2 battleships.
