This may or may not happen every time you kill a Prophet, it happened on the first and last times for me:
When a Prophet dies, it may summon reinforcements:
When a Reinforcement spawn is triggered, it is reccomended that you eliminate the spawn before continuing to kill the Prophets. If you get too many spawns at once, you may be overwhelmed.
