Mission Briefing
We've located some asteroids that contain substantial amounts of Polygypsum - that's a comparatively rare mineral, and almost completely unknown in the system. Our guys to have a look at the stuff and see if they can figure out some way to make use of it; however, we don't have anyone who wants to deal with it. So guess who I thought of first? You'll need to grab all 2,800 units of the stuff and get it back here. See you then.
Summary
Mine 2,800 units of Polygypsum (44,800 m³) and then return to agent.Harvestable Objects | ||

Guide
Warp to the mission site. Once there, maintain a distance greater than 5,000 meters but within the range of your mining lasers in order to avoid the AoE damage from the asteroids. They will have a random chance of causing 100 to 150 omnidamage within a 5,000 meter radius of the mined asteroid for each cycle of the mining lasers; though, each asteroid can only detonate one time. There are two ways to do it:- Standard: Preferably with a Mackinaw, mine the asteroids until your cargohold is full. Once full, return to station, deposit the ore, and then warp back to site to finish the last of the asteroids. Short-cycle the miners for the last ore.
- Jetcan: Preferably with a Hulk, drop a jetcan in space once you have your first cycle of ore. Deposit all of the mission's ore into the can, either with each cycle or when your hold is nearly full. Short-cycle the miners for the last ore. After all of the ore has been mined, return to station and switch to either a Miasmos (cheaper but slower) or a Porpoise (expensive but faster). Warp back to site, retrieve the ore, and return to station.
Takes approximately 25~ minutes to complete with a max skilled Hulk and two ORE Strip Miners.
Notes
Damage from asteroids needs to be verified with polarized (no-resists) fitting. Individual ore in asteroids needs to be verified with Survey Scanner.
