- Ability to swap between close range and sniper configurations without changing (or wasting) rigs is heavily emphasized.
- Typical utility high slots : Large Energy Transfer Array / Large Remote Armor Repair System / Auto Targeting System.
- Damage Control II + EANM combination avoids triple stacked resist penalty if an OGB bonus is applied.

Deletions:
A significantly improved Megathron hull, with more powergrid, CPU, armor and an extra low slot.
Very heavy close range dps (its primary strength), but is comparatively somewhat lacking in dps for the mid/long range role.
Its blasters are almost useless for Assaults, Headquarters and Kundaline Manifest sites.
Fortunately, the railgun version makes a decent sniper.
|=|Minimum skill (recommended)|=|
- Advanced Weapons Upgrade 4
- Large Blaster Specialization 3 (T2 blasters)
- Large Railgun Specialization 3 (T2 railguns)
- Controlled Bursts 4
- Sentry Drone Interfacing/Heavy Drone Operation 4
======Megathron Navy Issue Basic (Brick) Fit======
|=|Design Notes|=|
- Cheap T2 fit for starters. Limited to T1 rigs.
- Resist profile favor stronger Kin/Exp resists. Sansha torpedoes/cruise missile do massive Kin/Exp damage to battleship class hulls.
- 1x Hybrid Burst Aerator rig to increase dps. Alternative option, 1x Hybrid Collision Accelerator for bigger alpha dmg.
- 1x Energy Transfer fitted as backup for Guardians. Alternative option, T2 Auto Targeting to increase number of targets.
- Fitted with minimum 2x Tracking Computers and 1x Web.
- 1x Sensor Booster improves lock time, which can be optionally swapped out for a second Web.

======__Megathron Navy Issue General Notes__======
A significantly improved Megathron hull, with more powergrid, CPU, armor and an extra low slot.
Very heavy close range dps, but (comparatively) somewhat lacking in dps for mid/long range role.
Its blasters are almost useless for Assaults, Headquarters and Kundaline Manifest sites.
Fortunately, the railgun version makes a decent sniper.
|=|Minimum skill (recommended)|=|
- Gallente Battleship 4
- Advanced Weapons Upgrade 4
- Large Blaster Specialization 3 (T2 pulse lasers)
- Large Railgun Specialization 3 (T2 beam lasers)
- Controlled Bursts 4
- Sentry Drone Interfacing/Heavy Drone Operation 4
======Megathron Navy Issue Basic (Brick) Fit======
|=|Design Notes|=|
- Cheap T2 fit for starters. Limited to T1 rigs.
- Resist profile favor stronger Kin/Exp resists. Sansha torpedoes/cruise missile do massive Kin/Exp damage to battleship class hulls.
- 1x Hybrid Burst Aerator rig to increase dps. Alternative option, 1x Hybrid Collision Accelerator for bigger alpha dmg.
- 1x Energy Transfer fitted as backup for Guardians. Alternative option, T2 Auto Targeting to increase number of targets.
- Fitted with minimum 2x Tracking Computers and 1x Web.
- 1x Sensor Booster improves lock time, which can be optionally swapped out for a second Web.

Deletions:
==__Design Notes__==
Use: Vanguard.
An improved variant of the Megathron with a heavier tank.
The navy issue variant has better shields, armor and structure than the standard Megathron.
It also has 1 extra low slot, in addition to an increased base speed, CPU, PG and drone bay size.
Not recommended as a starter ship for incursions.
The resist focus is towards the Kin/Exp side to minimize Sansha missile damage - this is the greater danger for battleships.
The EM/Therm resist it not a great concern as long as it's in the 70-75% range or higher, depending on slot/base resist limitations.
__Note1: __
The mid slot modules can be re-shuffled for any combination of tracking sensor boosters/tracking computers/webifiers.
Typical mid slot arrangement for armor ships is __minimum__ 2 tracking computers, __minimum__ 1 webifier (2 preferred).
__Note2: __
The auto targeting system increases the ship's target count (requires minimum Multitasking 1 to utilize the target count increase).
Alternate modules that can also be fitted are large energy transfers (recommended), large remote armor repairs or drone link augmentors.
__Note3: __
A trimark armor pump may be removed in favor of an anti-thermic pump (which brings up thermal resist to 76%).
The Kin/Exp armor buffer will be reduced by 15%.
__Note4: __
A T1/T2 hybrid collision accelerator/burst aerator rig may be fitted to increase raw dps.
Due to the limited rig calibration points (350), 2 armor rigs will need to removed for a T2 rig.

======2. Megathron Navy Issue (Gank)======
==__Design Notes__==
Use: Vanguard.
A variation of the standard fitting with improved dps.
Overall resists and armor buffer are reduced.
The kinetic hardener is removed to release 1 low slot for a extra magstab (or tracking enhancer).
An anti-kinetic pump replaces one of the trimark armor pumps.
__Note3: __
A T1/T2 hybrid collision accelerator/burst aerator rig may be fitted to increase raw dps.
Due to the limited rig calibration points (350), 2 armor rigs will need to removed for a T2 rig.

======(Gank -> T2 Sniper refit)======
==__Design Notes__==
Use: Assault (sniper), HQ (sniper) and Kundalini Manifest.
Simple module swaps (from Gank fitting) for sniper duty.
__Note1: __
Having three tracking computers gives the flexibility of using faction Iridium effectively < 130km over T2 Spike.
__Note2: __
One T2 sensor booster allows targeting up to 145km, barely adequate for most sniper scenarios.
This can be improved by fitting a faction sensor booster which allows targeting up to 150km.
