Not all three ships need to be destroyed to complete the mission. I destroyed two at the same time and the mission registered as complete before I got to the third.

FACTION BALANCING: Regardless, I suffered a -2.4% Amarr Emire loss for "Ship Kill". If you're trying to keep faction standings balanced, you may want to skip this one, despite the fact that it is a Storyline Mission.

Only the amarr scout is necessary to complete the mission.

I destroyed just the scout and suffered -2.4% for ship kill and -.2043% derived modification. Derived modifications also were applied to Caldari (-0.0828%), Mordu's Legion (-0.1372%), Khanid (-0.2043%), the syndicate (-0.254%), Ammatar Mandate (-0.3031%), Serpentis (-0.294%), and Angels (-0.3644%).

On the plus side I only got 0.4179% from Minmatar for mission completion, and derived modifications for Galente (0.3226%), ORE (0.2704%), SSoE (0.2704%), Thucker (0.2043%), The Society (0.1372%), Jove (0.1033%), and Interbus (0.0862%).

We normally don't type in derived modifications, I do this to make the point that no matter how you look at it, this mission is overall a standing loss if you are trying to keep the factions balanced because the -2.4% outweighs the rest of it, including the minmatar mission completion standing gain.

for anyone collecting tags.. i got 1x imperial navy midshipman insignia II and 2x imperial navy midshipman insignia I and a 30k isk bounty for the tower gun. t1 rifter didnt need to use the repper but shields did drop to 15%.
