1. Apocalypse (Starter)


Design Notes
Use: Vanguard, Assault (mid-range dps), HQ (mid-range dps) and Kundalini Manifest.

The only Amarr battleship where capacitor isn't a serious issue.
The ship's raw dps is average, but it is somewhat compensated by the optimal range bonus (which allows shorter ranged crystals to be used).
In most situations, it is outclassed by the other Amarr T1 battleships for short to mid-range range dps.
The sniper role is ideal for this ship however.

The basic hull is plague by CPU fitting issues, making an all T2 fittings a challenge.

The resist focus is towards the Kin/Exp side to minimize Sansha missile damage - this is the greater danger for battleships.
The EM/Therm resist it not a great concern as long as it's in the 70-75% range or higher, depending on slot/base resist limitations.

When used for mid-range dps/Kundalini Manifest, refit mid slots to 1-2x tracking computers and 1-2x painter/cap recharger.

Note1:
T2 mega pulse lasers can be substituted with Meta4 lasers, which saves enough CPU for a second T2 EANM.
If Meta4 mega pulse lasers are fitted, the ship can only be effectively used for vanguards only.

Note2:
The T2 ANP can be upgraded to Centii/Corpii/Coreli C-type ANP which confers nearly the same resists bonus as a T2 EANM.
The cost is fairly affordable.

Note3:
For sniper duty, Meta4 Mega Beam lasers can be swapped-in without exceeding the CPU limit.
Swapping for T2 Mega Beam lasers will require a minimum Squire PG4 (3% powergrid) implant and faction modules with less CPU.

2. Apocalypse (Standard)


Design Notes
Use: Vanguard, Assault (mid-range dps), HQ (mid-range dps) and Kundalini Manifest.

Selected use of faction modules is necessary for an improved T2 fit (due to the CPU issues).

Faction dual-webbers is mandatory to apply full battleship damage to smaller targets within its range.
With the improved resists, the anti-thermic pump is replaced by a second trimark armor pump to increase the armor buffer.

When used for mid-range dps/Kundalini Manifest, refit mid slots to 1-2x tracking computers and 1-2x painter/cap recharger.

Note1:
T2 mega pulse lasers can be substituted with Meta4 lasers, which saves enough CPU for a second T2 EANM.
If Meta4 mega pulse lasers are fitted, the ship can only be effectively used for vanguards only.

Note2:
To save cost, the A-type ANP can be downgraded to Centii/Corpii/Coreli C-type ANP.

Two sensor boosters are needed to enable targeting > 150km.
Requires a minimum Squire PG4 (3% powergrid) implant.

Note1:
For target's range < 135km, the Imperial Navy Infrared (with 2x optimal scripts) gives better effective dps than T2 Aurora.
Its comparative tracking is improved 244% with the same amount of dps.

3. Apocalypse (Gank)


Design Notes
Use: Vanguard, Assault (mid-range dps), HQ (mid-range dps) and Kundalini Manifest.

A minor variation of the Standard fitting. The tank is changed to full passive.

Exp resist and armor HP is lowered to release 1 low slot for an extra heat sink (or tracking enhancer).
Gives 12% more raw dps when a heat sink is fitted.

Both armor buffer for EM/Therm and Kin/Exp is reduced by 15% and 41% respectively when compared to the Standard fitting.
The overall RR defence efficiency drops by 11%, reducing the effectiveness of RR from logistic ships.

When used for mid-range dps/Kundalini Manifest, refit mid slots to 1-2x tracking computers and 1-2x painter/cap recharger.

Note1:
It is also highly recommended that an extra 1600mm be fitted for the above sites to ensure higher survivability against alpha damage.
The armor buffer is a little low for armor battleship in those sites due to the combination of alpha damage and delayed remote repair.
Fitting the second plate will require a minimum Squire PG8 (5% powergrid) implant.

Note2:
For target's range < 135km, the Imperial Navy Infrared (with 2x optimal scripts) gives better effective dps than T2 Aurora.
Its comparative tracking is improved 244% with the same amount of dps. loss of T2 Aurora crystal reduces long range sniper dps by roughly 40%.
