1. Machariel (Standard)


Design Notes
Use: Vanguard, Assault (mid-range dps), HQ (mid-range dps) and Kundalini Manifest.

This ship takes the second place after the Vindicator in terms of raw dps.
The longer autocannon range allows it to fulfill mid-range dps roles when compared to blaster boats.
Faction ammo running cost is fairly high due to the high firing rate.

Not recommended as a starter ship for incursions.

The resist focus is towards the Kin/Exp side to minimize Sansha missile damage - this is the greater danger for battleships.
The EM/Therm resist it not a great concern as long as it's in the 70-75% range or higher, depending on slot/base resist limitations.

Note1:
The mid slot modules can be re-shuffled for any combination of tracking sensor boosters/tracking computers/webifiers.
Typical mid slot arrangement for armor ships is minimum 2 tracking computers, minimum 1 webifier (2 preferred).

Note2:
The auto targeting system increases the ship's target count (requires minimum Multitasking L1 to utilize the target count increase).
Alternate modules that can also be fitted are large energy transfers (recommended), large remote armor repairs or drone link augmentors.

Note3:
The faction EANM can be upgraded to a Centii/Corpii A-type ANP for a minor increase in resistance/buffer.

Note4:
An alternate tank which naturally leans towards EM/Therm can be fitted through a minor re-shuffle.
The Exp/Kin buffer & RR repair efficiency is reduced by 5%, for a corresponding 12% gain in EM/Therm.
Replace the kinetic hardener & anti-thermic pump with a second faction EANM & anti-kinetic pump, respectively.

Simple module swaps (from Standard fitting) for sniper duty.

2 sensor boosters are required as minimum to target > 150km.
Fitting T2 1400mm artillery requires a minimum Squire PG4 (3% powergrid) implant.

Note1:
3 tracking computers are fitted for increased range (with optimal scripts).
High damage faction EMP/PP/Fusion can be used effectively < 135km, outperforming T2 Tremor.

2. Machariel (Gank)


Design Notes
Use: Vanguard.

A minor variation of the Standard fitting with (14%) improved raw dps.

The kinetic hardener is removed to free-up 1 low slot for a gyrostab (or tracking enhancer).
An anti-kinetic pump replaces one of the trimark armor pumps.

The low kinetic resist (66%) is a weakness, which is passably balanced by the explosive resist (74%).
This gives a barely acceptable specific Kin/Exp RR efficiency of 257, against the average of 300.

A second anti-kinetic pump can be added to raise the kinetic resistance to 72%, raising the specific Kin/Exp RR efficiency to 286.
However, the armor buffer will be reduced due to the removal of the last trimark armor pump.

Fitting T2 1400mm artillery requires a minimum Squire PG4 (3% powergrid) implant.

Note1:
It is also highly recommended that an extra 1600mm be fitted (by removing the third gyrostab) for the above sites to ensure higher survivability against alpha damage.
The armor buffer is a little low for armor battleship in those sites due to the combination of alpha damage and delayed remote repair.
Fitting the second plate requires a minimum Squire PG8 (5% powergrid) implant.

Note2:
