Tip
Lots of Minmatar Battleships and they fly fast, outrun their turret tracking with a speed tank and watch out for the painter spawns.

Information is incorrect as of 6th May 2011.

The initial spawn is right.

Killing the Republic Tribal Jarl triggered a 5-battleship spawn, as per the mission information. Salvaging the mission wreck (and gettin the mission objective item) afterwards did not trigger the mission completion.

Killing ALL the Republic Jotuns did not trigger any spawns.
Killing the Cruiser group (Republic Chief Rodul) triggered the spawn of 5 battleships, as per mission info.

Mission completion was triggered upon full destruction of the initial group.

Ship setup:

L2 Tanked Drake, tank was as followed:

1x Invulnerability Field II
1x Photon Scattering Field II
1x Explosive Dampening Field II
2x Large Shield Extender II
1x Shield Recharge II

Pilot has 4m SP.

Had to warp out once per each 5 battleship group. Should be a lot easier in a bigger ship or a better Drake tank, I was too lazy to go switch.

Different result as of 27 May 2011

Killing the frigs and a couple of the battleships (maybe the Republic Jotun) caused the frig group to spawn.
Killing 4 cruisers (not Rodur, but one named M...) and the rest of the battleships caused 5 more BS to spawn (2 sigur, 3 jotun).
Killing the last cruiser caused no more spawns, but did mark the "kill" part of the mission complete.

Storyline mission.
Took longer than I expected it would. The (elite ?) frigates and cruisers are harder to take down than the battleships !
Note, the frigates WILL switch aggro and go after your drones (bring lots or a small gun/missile launcher to deal with them).

NO hostiles at warp in. You land a couple kms from the gate, no big deal.

NOTE: Look CLOSELY at the details under "Single Pocket" and note where it says that one of the Republic Jotuns is the trigger for spawn 3. That should be on it's own line.
I managed to trigger spawn 1 & 2 cause I didn't read the details closely enough. My Navy Scorp is omni-tanked and cap stable so I wasn't too worried though at one point I had 10 BSs at close range and was at 50% shields. I stopped trying to pop the elite cruisers and went after the battleships and by the time I popped the last BS my shields were at 100% again.

No bounties of course.
Mission reward and bonus = 2,740,000 (amount varies depending on skill levels).
Salvage and loot = 59,000,000(ish), with 51.4 mil of that being just in tags and 4.95 mil in salvage.
And to think I wasn't even going to bother salvaging the mission at all ! It wasn't until I noticed the field of wrecks and that they all had loot that I decided to call in a salvager. It was worth the extra few minutes.

Standings also vary depending on what they were before the mission and your skill levels.
The toon that pulled the mission got:
+0.9 Caldari
+0.332 Ammar
-0.332 Gallente
-0.159 Minmatar
Which is interesting as some of the ships dropped Caldari Vice Admiral I tags.
That toon also got a +2.571 boost to her Caldari Navy standings.

The toon that did the mission received 3 x -0.02 Ship Kill standing losses (if you could do the whole mission within 15 minutes you'd probably only get 1 x -0.02 loss). No big deal. Next time I'll take 2 Navy Scorps and stick small arties or railguns in the turret slots to take care of the frigates/cruisers. That'll speed the mission up considerably.
