Faction: Blood Raider
Mission type: Encounter
Damage dealt: EM, Therm
Recommended damage dealing: Em, Therm
Recommended ship classes: Battlecruiser, Recon, Faction Cruiser, Cruiser, Assault Frigate.

Objective
Fly to the Space-Port, ambush the convoy when it arrives, and then report back to your agent.

Single Pocket


Group 1 (40km)
6x Frigate "Space Port Guardian" (4x Corpior Cleric and 2x Mercenary Elite Fighter)
2x Sentry Guns

Group 2
Will spawn around 5 minutes after warp in.
4x Destroyer "Convoy Guards" (4x Mercenary Elite Fighter)
1x "Convoy Guard Captain" (1x Corpior Exorcist)
2x Blood Raider Transport Ship

No loot in structure

Mineable Asteroids
None.

Standing hits
Killing one of the transporters incurs a 2.4% standing penalty

I just completed this mission. Upon warping in, I destroyed the two Sentry Guns and the 6 "Space Port Guardians" without moving from the warp in point, but the convoy did not spawn. As soon as I started flying towards the space port, the convoy warped in right on top of me. Also, the two Blood Raider Transport Ships contain drugs :)

Something changed in this mission:
The SPACE PORT GUARDIANS was 6x Griffin (recom. kinetic dmg dealing).
And the CONVOY GUARDS was 4x Blood Destroyers - no more Mercenarys in this mission.

Just did this one, and one of the ships in the spawn wave was webbing/scrambling, so be careful.

no spawn when i shot the space port. spawn happened after the spaceport blew up. this is either a proximity spawn or a timer spawn. probably on a timer. did mission in Sleipnir. so destroyed the first wave really quickly.

confirmed proximity trigger / movement trigger for spawn.

I could recharge my shields after eleminating first group, sentrys and space port.
I was flying a armor tank, so recharging shields takes a while.

However, at the moment i started to move in the direction of a wreck, the spawn arrived practically on top of me, with the guards quickly going to a 15km distance

Killing the guards and spaceport did not cause the spawn. After looting a few wrecks they spawned.

You don't have to loot the wrecks, you don't have to approach the space port... just wait around a bit, and the 2nd spawn will appear approx 50km away from initial WIP. I just did this mission in a Harbinger. Warped in, killed everything in 1st spawn waited, 2nd spawn arrived. Transport ships dropped drugs.

One weird thing - the mercs are by all means identified as mercs, but their missiles identify them as Blood Raider Covenant, and they were doing thermal damage.

Confirming that the second spawn is timed ... I destroyed the Spaceport while waiting for them (ooops :p).

Confirming that second spawn is timed. I just sat still, and waited for it to come.
Did the mission in an Omen (easy for me, but wouldn't recommend it to others), and noticed the same wierd thing about the first wave being identified as "Mercinery Elite Fighter"s, instead of some kind of Blood ships/pilots. They also did the normal Therm/Kin damage of mercs, which made it a little more difficult, since I was tanked for EM/Therm. They also left the usual merc wrecks/loot, so I dunno...kinda confusing.
Otherwise, the mission is pretty easy. =P

Warped to 0, killed group 1, didn't move and waited a few minutes, group 2 spawned right next to me. Easily completed in T2 fit passive shield with active hardener arty hurricane.

Confirming group 2 spawns on a timer directly on the WIP.
The enemy numbers and sizes are correct here, but they are not mercs, they are blood destroyers and a battlecruiser.

for me the spawns were switched group 1 was mercs group 2 was blood raiders been this way the last 3 times I've run it

The first group were all Frigates (6 x Space Port Guardians) in Merlins and 2 laser batteries.
The Spaceport doesn't drop any loot and has no effect on the mission (just ignore it).
2nd group was 4 destroyers (Coercers), 1 battle cruiser (Prophecy) and 2 Transport ships (Bestowers).
Note the names on the wrecks don't match the names on the ships. For example, the "Convoy Guards" wrecks are "Mercenary Elite Fighter Wreck". The "Convoy Captain" becomes a "Corpatis Exorcist Wreck".
The Blood Raider Transport Ships keep the same name though.
