Revision [8825]
This is an old revision of ArmorZealot made by SturmWolke on 2011-06-18 08:15:21.
1. Zealot (Standard)
Design Notes
Use: Vanguard, Assault (cruiser dps), HQ (cruiser dps) and Kundalini Manifest. The Zealot is plagued with CPU and PG fitting issues, making an incursion fit a challenging exercise.
The ship will serve fine for anti-cruiser/frigate roles, but it is outperformed by both the Legion and Absolution.
The low armor buffer means that it will have to partly rely on AB to mitigate incoming damage, thus degrading its tracking.
Not recommended as a starter ship for incursions.
The resist focus is towards the EM/Therm side to minimize Sansha laser damage - this is the greater danger.
Sansha missiles don't do significant damage due to the already high Kin/Exp resist, low signature radius and AB.
The ship may be used for HQ and Kundalini Manifest sites, but it is not recommended.
When used for cruiser dps, replace the stasis webifier with a tracking computer/painter.
Note1:
It is important that the Advanced Weapon Upgrade skill be at L5.
Otherwise, the fittings will require a minimum Squire PG2 implant (1% powergrid) or a T2 Ancillary Current Router rig.
Note2:
A cheaper alternative fit would be replacing the faction EANM & thermic hardener with T2 ANP and thermic hardener, respectively.
Note3:
Cruisers do not have significant structure HP.
The Damage Control II can be swapped out for a faction EANM for increased resistance and armor buffer.

2. Zealot (Gank)
Design Notes
Use: Vanguard, Assault (cruiser dps), HQ (cruiser dps) and Kundalini Manifest.A variation of the standard Zealot with improved dps/tracking and better anti-frigate capability.
The overall resist is reduced to release 1 low slot for an extra heat sink (or tracking enhancer).
Mobility is limited due to the extra tracking computer.
Faction heat sinks are utilized in order to conserve CPU.
An AB can be fitted, replacing either the webifier or tracking computer if needed.
The ship may be used for HQ and Kundalini Manifest sites, but it is not recommended.
When used for cruiser dps, replace the stasis webifier with a tracking computer/painter.
